Miniatures

I was introduced to the art of miniatures at one of our local Art Exhibitions. This genre strives to create small pieces (less than 6 x 8 inches) that evoke a larger piece of art. Subjects must be less than 1/6 scale, which limits subject matter or stresses the eyesight and hand steadiness of the artist. My collection here represents pieces that are between 2 x 2 inches and 3 x 4 inches. Some are shown framed and matted. Unless indicated, these miniatures are for sale, matted and framed.
